Edwin Hawkins, Known For ‘Oh Happy Day,’ Dies At 74

There are only a handful of songs that really moved me as a kid that I still listen to today.  Oh Happy Day is at the top of that list.  It starts so gently and beautifully  then rises to a dramatic, all out joyful climax like no other song I’ve ever heard on the radio.  If you’re pop music fan like I am, you will love the story of how Oh Happy Day became a massive hit, and won a Grammy in spite of its very humble origins.

Goodbye and Thank you to Edwin Hawkins.
